Finance Bank Zambia Limited under Dr. Rajan Mahtani, the chairman Finance Bank Zambia, has opened their second outlet in Ndola. With the opening of Jacaranda Mall Branch in Ndola, Finance Bank Zambia now has 55 outlets and 91 ATMS all over the nation. This branch is located in such an area that it will cater public in surrounding areas of Mushili, Masala, Itawa and Ndeke.
The expansion program of Finance Bank Zambia Limited for 2014 will include the opening of its new branches in Lundazi Mongu, Mansa, Rusangu University in Monze, Chambeshi and Nyumba Yanga in Lusaka. The bank has set aside K30 million for the expansion programme of the branch and is dedicated to increasing not only their footprint in urban areas but also the rural areas of the nation.
Apart from opening their new branch, Finance Bank Zambia even launched Makumbi Banking, a new web-based product that targeted at both the unbanked and banked population of the country. This product can be accessed by cell phones, iPads, desktops, laptops, POS and ATMs. It provides personal customers the opportunity to register for a virtual account. The services on offer include getting or sending money, paying utility bills, funds transfers, mini statements and checking balances.
Makumbi Banking basically aims to increase the access to banking services for all the eligible members of public with mobile numbers anywhere irrespective of whether there any physical branch in the location.
As part of future offerings on Makumbi Banking, FBZ will be introducing the provision of POS through agents and merchants that will even enable the use of biometrics, which for few their customers is a safer way of account verification. Encashment via ATM using cardless mode are part of future offering of Makumbi.
